Comparison Sunday #29: There’s a chill in the air

by on November 22, 2010

In a year that has seen temperatures north of 80 degrees in November, you wouldn’t think that we’d ever get to the point where we officially retire our shorts and tank tops for the winter down here in Southern California.  We’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of old man winter and he is finally here.  We’ve had the heat on for a few days now, and I’ve started wearing long sleeved shirts to bed!  WE LOVE IT!

E2 is getting smarter and larger by the day.  He’s learned to clap his hands (see video below), and he’s started “scooting”.  That is, he hoists himself up on his knees and palms and launches himself headlong towards his target.  Right now, it’s more successful on a soft, flexible surface like carpet and mommy and daddy’s bed than it is on hardwood floor, but we’re working on it.  He’s also become quite fond of the phonemes “ma” and “ba”, which puts Christina and myself neck-and-neck when it comes to the race for the first word.

The first couple call nights went pretty well, and the three of us, with help from yee yee, have developed a sort of rhythm when it comes to bed time.  Let’s hope the rhythm holds.

Clapping Hands (“Pak Sow”):

Have a good week, everyone!

  1. What a great week this was! Lots of milestones. Seems kinda weird how he is suddenly sitting up for his pictures now. Time flies. Can’t wait to see you guys in person!

  2. I was great seeing you guys. Since you are back now, I need to see the comparisons!!!!
