Adventures on a Saturday

by on January 19, 2008

So, it was going to be a regular lazy Saturday, but it turned out to be very productive. After some consultations from Emmett’s Yeh-Yeh (grandpa), I called around to various dealers to find a good deal on tires for the Subaru. We finally were able to find a set of tires for 365 out the door, and we’re pretty happy with them. We managed to get the California tire recycling charge waived by keeping the old tires. So, now we’re thinking about starting a compost bin in our backyard using those old tires. Check back here for progress updates on that. While waiting for the new tires to get installed, the three of us hung out at Serramonte Center for 3 hours.  It’s not a big mall, so finding something to do for three hours takes a lot of creativity.  Anyway, the ride on the Subaru is super quiet now compared to the old tires. We can have a conversation that is not interpersed with “Wha?” “Eh?” and “Whajjasay?” And now we don’t have to crank up the radio to hear it either. Very nice.

Auntay found some old pictures of yours truly to compare with mini-me. So, reading public, whaddya think? Which one is which? I bet you can’t tell.
